THE 'GO GREEN' PROJECT
International House schools do care about the environment, so they always try to reduce the amount of paper used.
IH Voronezh-Linguist is not an exception, we've launched the 'Go Green' Project recently! We will plan to avoid using any paper handouts and worksheets at the Forum by replacing them by the digital ones.
Make sure you have a QR code reader installed on your device!

Does CLIL really do wonders for language learners? How and when can it be incorporated in the lesson? What are the main techniques to make CLIL successful?

'Literary texts should be approached differently in class from texts in other genres. It is because literature affects our emotions, speaks to our hearts. Should this be reflected when we use a poem or a story as a learning material? Should we aim at developing different skills when planning a lesson around a literary text? I think we should, because it's the text that drives the approach, not another way round. The Text-Driven Approach can help us achieve the maximum effect.'

IRMA ZAREMBSKI
Duchess of TIMEBRIDGE, an English-speaking World

Irma's grandfather built an inn at the crossroads where a whole sort of different people appeared. Later, people started building houses around this inn, this is the way Timebridge was found.
Now she's trying to preserve traditions, but still follows some modern trends. This could help meet demands of all residents and visitors of Timebridge.
Managing the city is a difficult process, and she could never cope with it without her ministers. There is a hero inside them, and due to the camp, Irma can play different roles:
-she is not only a level-headed and creative teacher at IH Voronezh-Linguist,
-nor a serious employee of Cambridge Resource and Examining centre,
but a powerful, yet sometimes easy-going Duchess!
Camp helps her and her colleagues try some activities, which could hardly fit into the curriculum, new methods of teaching and apply the knowledge which they have accumulated.

'If you think being the Duchess is easy, you are completely mistaken. Firstly, you have a mind-boggling variety of dresses to chose from and this is a burden.. Do you know how many hats I have? However, I have more ideas how to engage young time-travellers into an enjoyable process of spending time in Timebridge! And I am eager to step into the spotlight yet again, and share some... .'
